We don’t really know what to make of this. The ad itself is sleek, but the overall tone and tenor is extremely unnerving. This ad, made by the Army’s 4th PSYOP Group, touts its ability to surreptitiously influence the world while asking “who pulls the strings.”

Vice’s Matthew Gualt writes:

The U.S. Army’s 4th Psychological Operations Group are part of the Army’s broader Psychological Operations field, which is a specialization of the Special Operations Forces. The goal, according to the recruitment website, is to bring in “unconventional minds” to “persuade, change, and influence” the world.

Watch for yourself:

Now that you’ve watched it, what are your thoughts? Are you enlisting? Who actually does pull the strings? (Hint: It’s Ken) Give us your reviews in the comments.

H/T to Matthew Gault who noticed this & caught our attention with it.

I assure everyone that no one involved in the Insurgents podcast would ever try to "Psy op" you

why does this look like dystopian a movie trailer? are we romanticizing war to lure in vulnerable minds? honesty is more respectable.
